Aftercare.
Saniderm.
Days 1-3.
You may leave your saniderm on for up to 3 days. Ideally you will remove your saniderm 24 hours after getting your tattoo. Once fully removed: wash throughly under warm water with a fragrance-free antibacterial soap. Allow to air dry for 20-30 minutes before applying a very thin layer of aftercare ointment. After you have removed the Saniderm, continue to wash your tattoo a minimum of 3 times a day. Do not apply more ointment to your tattoo without washing it first.
Days 4-10.
Continue washing your tattoo 3 times a day and allowing it to air dry for 20-30 minutes. If you have been using Aquaphor or managed to keep your Saniderm on for a full 3 days, you can now switch to a white, water-based and fragrance free lotion in place of the ointment. Continue this process until your skin returns to its normal texture (not scaly, dry, shiny, etc).
Saran Wrap
Days 1-3
Leave your wrap on until bedtime. remove the Saran Wrap and wash your tattoo throughly under warm running water with a fragrance free, anti-bacterial soap. Allow to air dry for 20-30 minutes before applying a very thin layer of Aquaphor. You may re-wrap your tattoo with saran wrap before bed to keep it protected overnight. Immediately was it in the morning and continue the process.
